Merriam-Webster Visual Dictionary

Merriam-Webster has just released a new innovation to their various types of tools on the net. Visual Dictionary is a tool developed to help people understand our world and everything within it by displaying images. There are 15 major themes so access so far and more than 6,000 images connected with each other helping bring a better educational experience.https://jameslam.wordpress.com/wp-includes/js/tinymce/plugins/wordpress/img/trans.gif 

The easy index search box allows for a user to type in a term like “pyranometer” which then proceeds to give a definition (instrument designed to measure overall or indirect solar radiation) and a illustrated image to demonstrate the term and its use. Visitors to the new site may either search ideas within organized subject fields to quickly locate more than 20,000 terms with full definitions of a wide variety of objects from all aspects of life.
